Thank you for your participation. This consultation period has now closed.

Council would like to hear from Raymond residents about what their thoughts are on the types of animals that are allowed to be within the community and what types of rules and regulations should be in place to manage animal owners and the animals themselves.

Currently, dogs are required to be licensed and cats are not. Chickens, bees, and horses are a grey area where they are allowed under certain conditions and in specific locations.

Council will review best practices from other municipalities in Alberta and use the feedback received from this engagement to decide if any changes need to be made in our bylaws that outline what pet and pet owners in Raymond can and cannot do.

Thank you for taking the time to let Council know your thoughts and feelings on this issue.
